Artemis Valsamaki

Artemis Valsamaki was born in Athens where she lives and works. In 1999 she graduated from Vakalo design school in Athens(BA of Atrs in design) after three years training in the design of visual communication applications specializing in graphic arts. She pursued her further studies in 2000-2003 at the Mokume vocational school in Athens as a handmade and industrial jewelry manufacturer and designer.After three years of study, she obtained the state certification with the specialty of Handmade Jewelry Craftsmanship. At the same time she attended workshops for the construction of a theatrical puppet at the Maryvi workshop as well as theatrical plays at the Theater of Changes.

She has won an audience award in 2016 for "After Joya effect 3" at Popeye loves olive, in 2018 with an award at Athens Jewelry Week and in 2019 with an award from Joya Art Barcelona as part of Athens Jewelry Week.
A collection of her works can be found at the Museum of Greek Folk Art, at the Platina Gallery in Stockholm and at the Coda Museum in the Netherlands. Her work has been published in jewelry catalogs and books.
